Estate Valuations:

There may be an occasion when we find ourselves serving as the executor of a loved one's estate. Real estate including a residential dwelling may be part of the estate and it may be necessary to determine an estimated opinion of market value for the real estate.
There are varying instances when an appraisal may be needed on an estate:

1) Filing state or federal estate tax returns
2) Determining the basis for capital gains tax
2) A sale of the real estate to a relative
3) Giving gifts and/or setting up gift trusts
4) Partitioning an estate among heirs or beneficiaries

We will be sensitive during this difficult process and will work with the executor in setting up and completing the appraisal report for estate purposes in a timely and professional manner.

If you have been entrusted as executor of one's estate and are in need of a real estate appraisal for an estate, Certified Appraisals, Inc. would like the opportunity to service your residential estate needs.
